Do you expect one of us to step up and defend his remarks? Or the remarks made against Hillary?
I will say this, and this is the same response we received from the "left" when protests against vile remarks and veiled threats against W and other Repubs and conservative personalities were made ... "there's this thing called the First Amendment." Doesn't mean they were right to say what they said, it just means that we have to put up with it.
Or change the Constitution.

I don't "expect" anything. I KNOW that "vile remarks" and "veiled threats" have been made by "the Left". I've argued AGAINST the likes of mikoformiko, PBTime and others in the past regarding such remarks. I've also been bitched at for criticizing such remarks from both the Left AND the Right. And I also know that there is such a thing as the First Amendment. I spent twenty years of my life defending it. So yes, I know that anybody who makes such threats or remarks has a right to do so. I know that we're not going to change the Constitution behind such assholes, be they Left or Right. And lastly, I, TOO, have the Constitutional right to complain about such assholes (and you will note that I made no comment. I simply presented what was said, and let you draw your own conclusions). But since people on this Board seem to think that "the Left" is the only one who has such fuck-ups, I just want to remind you that it ain't necessarily so. |

Never made such a claim, did I? And if you remember I've spoken out against right wingers who've gone overboard as well, just as you did the aforementioned assholes.
Loudmouth assholes with shoesized IQs are something left, right and middle have. We'll never be free of them.

Nugent's made a career out of being crude one over the top.
His remarks were beyond the pale. As if there aren't plenty of legitimate criticisms to be made of Obama, there's just no reason to stoop to that.
If I were running the TX GOP, I'd put some distance between us.
In fact, to set the example, I'm banning Nugent from the Outpost indefinitely.

Nugent also doesn't rank super high with me despite his "uber-conservative" retoric nowadays, not when we are reminded of how he weaseled out of the draft back in the day with his playacting at being insane (smearing feces over himself was a "bit" over the top, though I'm not certain that claim is true), just so he could continue with his music career.
If Elvis could serve just as we did, so could Teddo IMHO.
