Charles Krauthammer says it right up front in his Washington Post column: “I’m not a global warming believer. I’m not a global warming denier.” He does, however, challenge the notion that the science on climate change is settled and says those who insist otherwise are engaged in “a crude attempt to silence critics and delegitimize debate.” How ironic, then, that some environmental activists launched a petition urging the Post not to publish Krauthammer’s column on Friday. Their response to opinions they disagree with is to suppress the speech. More here: www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/02/24/heating-up-climate-change-advocates-try-to-silence-krauthammer/?intcmp=trending

He has a right to say it, but he doesn't know the first thing about climate, and his commentary is based upon politics rather than science. He can say what he wants. People who want to believe that politics controls science are free to believe him. Just don't expect me to.

None of the Scientists know much about why we are having climate change. I have tried to follow their drivel with some level of discernment but for every chart manufactured to point out the link to Human Activity, another data mine comes up with something that says it is something different. I will hold my toungue because the same scientists were telling us about global cooling in the 1970's and 1980's.

Greenpeace co-founder: No scientific evidence of man-made global warmingThere is no scientific evidence that human activity is causing the planet to warm, according to Greenpeace co-founder Patrick Moore, who testified in front of a Senate committee on Tuesday. Moore argued that the current argument that the burning of fossil fuels is driving global warming over the past century lacks scientific evidence. He added that the Earth is in an unusually cold period and some warming would be a good thing. “There is no scientific proof that human emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) are the dominant cause of the minor warming of the Earth’s atmosphere over the past 100 years,” according to Moore’s prepared testimony. “Today, we live in an unusually cold period in the history of life on earth and there is no reason to believe that a warmer climate would be anything but beneficial for humans and the majority of other species.” Read more: dailycaller.com/2014/02/25/greenpeace-co-founder-no-scientific-evidence-of-man-made-global-warming/#ixzz2uU1Yuku4Moore's testimony: www.epw.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?FuseAction=Files.View&FileStore_id=415b9cde-e664-4628-8fb5-ae3951197d03

Amazing, isn't it? I'll bet the publishers would not repeat a single word of his if it didn't agree with their politics. I spent weeks arguing with Cam on this, Old Sailor. The governments of the world are spending billions upon billions of dollars investing in this, which is being espoused by scientsts around the world. The Northern Hemisphere nations have saild the Northwest Pssage and laid claim to lands that until recently were covered by ice. And NOAA has scentifically to all that global warming is for real without a Democrat or a Republican, a conservative or a liberal in sight. I'll go with them. I'll be more than happy to pull up scientific organizations including NOAA, NASA(!), the National Academy of Sciences, and countless others. Science, Old Sailor. Science. That's exactly why I don't go with Krauthammer (an extremely articulate political commentator, but nonetheless, a commentator) on this. He's got his right to his opinion. So do I. Mine is worth at least as much as his on this subject.
But I'll go with the scientists around the world who have forgotten more than Krauthammer OR me ever knew or ever will on this subject. And when they say that they are wrong, I'll be happy to change my mind. -A Warrior from 1972
