No real worries here, just rain and winds to 40 knots (probably less.) If it stays on track the center of the storm will pass us about 50 miles or so out to sea before dawn and be well away by noon. The worst I can foresee is losing power from downed trees and limbs.
I foresee a quiet day tomorrow and beautiful weather Saturday.

Still here. The storm is headed offshore to the northeast. It actually came ashore in NC about 2AM a little further west than I expected as a CAT 2 (100 knot winds,) but the bright spot is there are NO reports of deaths or serious injury. Happy day! I even slept well.
The power only flickered once or twice here and the winds in Virginia Beach never got above 45 knots.
Next stop for the storm is the Cape Cod area. New York and New Jersey are only going to get heavy rain.
