Fuckers! OK, I’m slightly perturbed. I went to my ‘final’ house inspection today – for the 4000 sq/ft house I’m having built and the finishing workmanship on is for shit! This is over $700,000 piece of property!!! And is worth in materials and labor anyplace else in the country maybe, maybe….300 – 350K. But, Noooooooooo!!!! You’re in the fucking DC area so suck it up bitch!

Hey! Fuck you! I went ramped – by the time I got done we had near 10 pages of deficiencies, plenty of cosmetic finishing mistakes and or not finishing (I’m like WTF-over?). With them having to rip off a third of the front of the house and replacing due to exteremly poor installation, then rip out some walls and reconfiguring my power and multimedia (as per I fucking diagramed in my fucking blueprints- that they overlooked TWICE!) and completing an at least decent job. Grrrrrrrrr!!!!!

Then, as I’m going through the inspection some third country national is add-hoc just drilling into the stone and mounting …get this…an additional ‘piece’ (like 8 inches) of shutter on top of the original artificial shutter. It looks goofy as hell. I’m like; “Dude, stop it!” What do I get? “No hable ingles”. I go to the Mr. Builder Rep; “Hey! Stop that guy from drilling into the house, that looks silly as shit!” Opps – well, too late, by the time we all the get the one boss here, then the other boss that can translate, then get him to fucking understand, then over to the dude drill’n. Argh!!!

FUCK! And I’m paying $700 K for this kinda shit? Then to get taxed out wazzoo. Kiss my ass. Two years….and I’m history.

lol..I wish it were mine! Yeah, the dad's. Property over here sells for some mega bucks. My parents say they can get well over $900,000 for this house and they want to build an even bigger one in Pennsylvania and move there. You should see the homes you can build out there - and for so much less money than they cost here in NY.

But I doubt I'd ever leave NYC. I love it here - even if the cost for everything is so damn high.

The wifie and I are using this as investment property - gunna stay for 2 years to avoid captial gains taxes. Then sell.

I wanna go west some -- no not that far, I like greenery. But get me 5-10 acres and a house. I like to be able to piss in my back yard or crank the tunes and not have cops crawling over my ass - ya, know?
