I concure. My paternal and maternal families came to the U.S. between 1830 and 1890 and it wasn't a cakewalk for any of them at any time. We get this same kind of crap in America too. Liberals tell us that we need to embrace immigrants and accept their differences. Bullshit. Immigrants come here and adapt to US - not the other way around. My Italian-Irish family still retains some of our old traditions (my grandmother made me walk through the door first on New Years Day because apparently its an Irish tradition of good luck for a dark-haired man to walk through the door first........strange.....) but we are 100% American. The American melting-pot is what made, and continues to make, this country great. That's why I refuse to accept terms like African-American. Fuck that shit....you're American. Get over it. This multi-cultural crap is going to destroy us. |
