To be honest I think we all appreciate a diversity of views and good solid debate. Just not having much luck in finding "progressives" capable or willing to enjoin the debate. I don't know about Dave but I'm sure pissed that Ireland didn't make it. All they had to do was win the last game and they ended up tying. Grrrrrr..... I'm still happy though cause Italy made it |

Hockey is the greatest sport ever but soccer is right behind it.
How you can say its boring I have no idea. A sport where every goal can change the outcome of the game will always be exciting IMHO.

I can watch a marathon of baseball, but one minute of soccer and I'm looking away to stare at the walls . I just hate sports where you have ties as often as soccer and hockey. |

Ya'll are crazy. How can you say two non-stop games like hockey and soccer are boring but baseball, with 60 second pauses every pitch, isn't?
Don't get me wrong, I love baseball - it's in the Top 5 favorite sports. But with Hockey and Soccer, the action is non-stop. You can't look away because you might miss the ONLY goal of the game if you do.
The new rules in Hockey are trying to change it to a high scoring game but I really hope it does not become one. Teams aren't supposed to score 6-7 times a game in Hockey. The new changes really upset me.........*anger smiley*
