It's kinda weird....people say that TV these days is much worse than before but I don't really believe it.
There might be more sex and violence on TV today but years ago there were some really racist shows on TV - All in the Family being the most common. I watched that show a couple months ago and I thought the same exactly thing. How could they possibly get away with that?
Then again....if I were to show my grandfather something on Spike TV, he'd probably walk out of the room in complete disgust. Just different times I guess.

All in the Family is still one of the funniest sitcoms ever. It's too bad they don't think the populace is mature enough to watch a show like that.
off Topic: Just watching Robot Chicken, Napolean dynomite as Napolean bonitparte... Oh god that's funny!

It's amazing that some of the older stuff is ten times better than some of the crap we have now. The same thing with music. Some of the crap coming out these days is not nearly as great as some of the music from the 70's and 80's.

It's because people weren't pussies back then who were always getting "offended" about something. Check out a movie called "Airplane", a movie they could never make now without a bunch of liberal pussies whining about it.

Airplane! is probably my favorite comedy movie of all time. I just love when the captain is walking through the airport and he starts punching everyone who is trying to hand him propaganda. That's what I feel like doing a lot of times LOL or the blacks speaking in their own language. That part is great....

Airplane! I remember that! Which one was it where the guy with bullet chains and the heavy assault rifle walks through the metal detector and nothing happens, but a little old lady goes through and the thing beeps and they slam her into the wall?

LOL or the blacks speaking in their own language. ...with subtitles so you know what they're saying, and Beaver Cleaver's mother offering to translate: "Excuse me, stewardess, I speak jive..."

How about 'Blazing Saddles'? LOL!! btw, Loved Archie Bunker.......the only problem I had with it, was it was they were trying to make it seem that the average 'conservative' was like Archie, a bigot. (at least that's my childhood memory of it....... )
