Hey Retire, sorry I missed the fireworks though between you and SM, I woulda like to have seen it, hehehehe. Seeing how your from Texas, I was wondering what you think of Kinky Freidman's run for governer. I saw a thing about him on 60minutes and had to laugh. That guy is a real goof, but he seems really serious. Had to laugh at his songs, They don't make Jews like Jesus anymore, and I love to be an Asshole from El Paso. You think he can win? Kinky Freidman has as much chance as a snow ball in south Texas summers. Zip, nada, nil, nix, none. He has always be a comical character like many who hail from the Austin scene. Remember, this is a town where a tranvestite cross-dresser who wears a woman's bikini and lives under a beach umbrella ran for mayor, AND GOT VOTES. Oh, Friedman will get votes. But I don't think he will even make a mark. Basically, he will take votes away from Carol Keeton Rylander Strayhorn who is Scott McClannan's (sp? and ex-press secretary to the president) mother. To be honest with you, I think the reason Scott resigned is because Bush will back Perry and Scott was in the wrong camp. So when the left talks about how Bush hires only his friends, it is quite clear he doesn't have a problem getting rid of them, either. "You are either with us or against us" has more meaning that anyone realizes. Scott was not with Bush (i.e. Perry) so enter Tony Snow. |

Dumbass. I'm alive but right now I'm not enjoying it much. But ... that beats the alternative - I'm not ready to be sized for that pine box yet. Besides the chemo and continuing to recover from surgery I'm trying to keep up full time hours. Maybe I'm the dumbass, huh? Anyway, I'm tired, sore and my bag sprung a leak in the middle of the workday. Not bad enough to be a messy catastrophe, but I had to go home and replace the stupid thing. Thank God that thing is only temporary. I have a new appreciation for what our other cancer patients have to deal with. |
