Officials to Study More Roles for Women in Special Ops By Karen Parrish American Forces Press Service WASHINGTON, Jan. 29, 2013 – With women already providing direct support in special operations, officials are studying how to open more positions that currently are open only to men, the commander of U.S. Special Operations Command said here today. www.defense.gov/News/NewsArticle.aspx?ID=119136They claim that Standards will not be lowered in most stories about this, but in this one they say this. "The new guidance requires that standards be gender-neutral, the admiral noted. “We never had gender standards, … because we had no female population. … We had an all-male population that was going to become Rangers, or SEALs, or infantrymen,” he said. “So that was the standard.”

I'd love to sit back and watch a couple of girls wrestling around in the mud with a thrown track, or unloading three or four truck loads of main gun ammo. ;D

But the reality, men will do that work and the women will watch while looking good in their pretty uniforms. The military services have mapped out a schedule that also will include reviewing and possibly changing the physical and mental standards that men and women will have to meet in order to quality for certain infantry, armor, commando and other front-line positions across the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines. Under the plans to be introduced Tuesday, there would be one common standard for men and women for each job.www.wftv.com/news/news/local/military-plans-would-put-women-most-combat-jobs/nYNk9/

Why not let them go into all combat specialties. In special forces that would an advantage. During the MPS cycle they could be dropped right into combat, right on the top of Taliban. That would be the first time Taliban would experience hell on earth.

This isn't a thing they are thinking about doing, it is something they are going to do at any and all cost. They mention gender neutral The new code words for reduced physical standards, but it will be ok because it will be across the board. So in the future they will have an equal number of incapable men in those units as they will have incapable women.

Does that mean our enemies will cut the girls some slack or reduce their own physical standards and put women in their own spec ops units? Not hardly.

Gender neutral training standards = insurance that our military will be second rate, all in the name of liberal social engineering.
Our enemies are laughing their asses off.

IIRC the Israeli Army tried something like this with their field army units. They don't do it any more, at least not in the infantry. That says something, don't you think? Don't get me wrong. The Israeli experience says the girls can do a lot of things at least as well as the guys, especially as fighter pilots IIRC because for some physiological reason they can stand G-forces better than most men, reaction times are comparable and they usually multitask better than the men (that explains how your wife deals with home and the kids better than we do.)
