Manning sentenced to 35 years.

PFC Bradley Manning was sentenced to 35 years in federal prison today.

Maximum sentence for his conviction was 90 years. The prosecution had asked for 60.

The judge offered no comment explaining the sentence.

He could walk in 7 years with time off for good behavior and credit for time served.

You already know my sentiments about how turncoats like him should be punished, but hanging isn't allowed any more.

Still, at a minimum the judge should have buried him under the prison. Even if he has to serve every day of the 35 years he would still only be age 60 when he is released.

We need to hang turncoats, not coddle them or award them slaps on the wrist.
