China had best get used to the idea that other nations are going to be interested in that handmedown Russian carrier, and they'd better do it quick.
It seems they are okay with the idea of surfacing submarines in the immediate vicinity of USN carriers (a form of harrassment BTW) and following George Washington around anytime she comes inside of the South China Sea or the vicinity of Taiwan, still out in international waters. But let anyone come near their birdfarm and it's an international incident.
More shades of the Soviet Union and Cold War.
In case anyone is interested, I have no problem with demonstrating to them that they cannot control the airspace belonging to other nations or international trade routes in contravention of the same UN Law of the Sea Treaty they signed off on. That same treaty codifies traditional international laws regarding safe passage of all ocean going commerce and even warships through littoral waters in time of peace, the same shit we were demonstrating off the Crimea during those cruises my ship was part of when KGB got angry and later when Caron and Yorktown were rammed.
I've been there, done that and have no issue with it being done again.
Remember, the Chinese harrassed and attempted to ram a USNS SURTASS ship outside of their territorial waters, a place she had every right to be.
Were we or one of our allies to do that with one of their ships they would be treating us to a display of anger and sabre rattling worthy of Pyongyang. Yes?

"Well, you certainly get your undies in a bunch rushing to his defense any time he's criticized." You want to take a good look? I said that the Chinese have been playing this game for centuries.
I referred back to all the incidents between our navy and the Soviets during the Cold War.
And I stated that we don't know what happened as far as the military and the Obama Administration is concerned, and that in situations like this we seldom do know who made what decision, or what was said and done between us and the Chinese.
And for that, I am called a "defender of Obama". And you certainly get your panties in a wad every time someone refutes your partisan criticisms with the facts. I don't even RESPOND most of the time Obama is criticized. We had this conversation before, MONTHS ago. but when you act like Obama was personally involved in every single aspect of a confrontation on the high seas, in which no one was hurt, no damage was done, no weapons were used, and nothing was resolved, it gets.... ridiculous.
to say the least. But, since I don't really give a fuck, tell you what? Let's make a deal. I am fucking sick and tired of the bullshit accusations regarding my "defending" Barack Obama.
So from now on, you say whatever the hell you want about Obama, just leave my name out of it, and I'll ignore what you say. I'll even continue to ignore his policies, as I have been doing for some time now. That should make it easy for you. You can even pretend that something is Obama's fault when there's no evidence whatsoever that he was involved in any way, shape, or form, like you did this time. I couldn't care less, and everybody else here will go right along with your comments as long as you insult the current President. That way, you can pretend that everybody else agrees with you. Hell, you can even pretend you're right.
How's that?

"And for that, I am called a "defender of Obama".
Probably because anytime he's criticized you fall all over yourself refuting it.
"I am fucking sick and fucking tired of the bullshit accusations regarding Barack Obama."
There you go again. WHAT bullshit accusations?
"Hell, you can even pretend you're right."
No need to pretend.

"And for that, I am called a "defender of Obama". Probably because anytime he's criticized you fall all over yourself refuting it. Probably because you and the majority of people on this Message Board have a hard on for the man and everything about him, and have openly demonstrated that since he ran for his first term. "I am fucking sick and fucking tired of the bullshit accusations regarding Barack Obama." There you go again. WHAT bullshit accusations? "Hell, you can even pretend you're right." No need to pretend. Fuck it.
I'm done.
The policy is in place. Leave it at that. Happy Trails.

"If one person tells you that you're growing a tail, you can laugh it off. If ten people tell you you're growing a tail, you'd best turn and have a look" ~ Anonymous You haven't even got ten people posting regularly on this Message Board.
And you haven't got me posting in any way, shape, or form, directly or indirectly, regarding Barack Obama.
EVER. I've had ENOUGH of the bullshit accusations. Mention his name, and I am staying away from the post.
And this conversation is over, unless you intend to talk to yourself. Got that? Now..... why don't you leave well enough alone?

It's not meant to be taken literally.
Not surprised that you missed the point.
