Most New Yorkers would love to see New York City get annexed by New Jersey....Or maybe Brown who consider a ideological bed partner?

Love the idea, If you take out LA and San Francisco, you have a state that has a conservative base. Like the rest of the country.

Love the idea, If you take out LA and San Francisco, you have a state that has a conservative base. Like the rest of the country. Right. Simply gerrymander out two of the major population centers in the United States, and presto! A brand new red state! FROM THE ARTICLE:
"Despite the enthusiasm of some in California’s less-populous precincts, the idea has not taken hold more generally in the state. A Field Poll released Dec. 11 found that just a quarter of state residents supported the idea of a breakup, compared with 59 percent who wanted to keep the state intact.
Pollsters Mark DiCamillo and Mervin Field wrote that opposition “is bipartisan, with majorities of Democrats, Republicans and non-partisans opposed. While there is slightly greater support for the proposals among voters in inland counties and parts of Northern California outside the San Francisco Bay Area and Central Valley, even in these areas more disapprove than approve of the idea.”

The efforts to split California up for various reasons, and by various people, is decades old, to say the least.
I sure don't intend to get excited about it.
Most Californians, including conservatives and Republicans, aren't.
The rest of you don't count.

Warrior are you always this vapid??? I am not a red stater or a blue stater, I am a free stater. It is so fucking obvious that the precious population centers that you want to make sure stand proudly are completely denying the majority of the state a standard of life they desire.
It would be like dropping a polar bear in Arizona, it wouldn't be happy and you are certainly abusing it to force it to be in a state that is not conducive with the way it lives.
Save for Los Angeles, where I have lived, and San Francisco, where I did extensive business and developed curriculum, the state is a largely conservative state. But as long as it is your team then you are fine with suppressing a vote and a way of life. Liberals are good for that. In Nebraska where I live now we have district voting, meaning that districts are split in the presidential elections. It is more fair overall because it would not be fair to deny a presidential candidate their portion of the vote in the event a liberal can peel off enough votes in the state.
If California breaks up, it will be into the sea. I wouldn't give a squirt of piss for the place. However, sheep brainwashed to believe that the majority must control the minority is a mental disorder. You have aligned yourself with a team and they digested the pap for you. Think for yourself, it doesn't even hurt.
