Obama is so full of shit it's flowing out his ears. What the fuck does he think he can do, especially since he and his tame RINO SECDEF have just said they are going to be cutting our standing forces even while Putin is growing his.
EDIT: Some people tend to forget that a capable military, a strong military is as essential to a successful foreign policy as a strong, capable and trustworthy diplomatic service.

Ah nothing like a good Obama humiliation to wake me up again!
I know that Russia is our main opposition (along with China) but I tell you I can't help but admire a little bit Putin's ability to make Obama look like a confused and fussy child. First off let me say that I very much doubt that Obama understands the political and cultural differences between Crimea and the rest of Ukraine. Something tells me you don't learn much about that by organizing boycotts in Chicago or listening to anti-American pastors. This is one more reason why any President of the United States should first and foremost be a deep student of history.
Putin has outsmarted the Obama administration at every turn. Iran, Syria, Snowden, and now Crimea. Personally I do not see Crimea becoming part of Russia to be such a big deal (the people yearn for it!). Yes, yes, I understand that it will strengthen Russia in their negotiations for oil and natural gas in Europe. But being born in the very late '80s I know I do not have a memory of the Cold War days. Perhaps this is why I feel like the USA and Russia can actually be partners on the world stage against Islamic terrorism and even the rise of China. Does anyone else think Putin would rather have the USA as a close ally than China?

Actually, there's not a damned thing we could do if we had TWICE the military we have now.
Please take a look at where the Ukraine IS, and TRY to be objective.
And Obama?
I really do wish he'd learn to keep his mouth shut, and realize that there ARE things we can't do, and Putin KNOWS it.

I agree, Warrior. My problem with Obama here is that he is throwing away our credibility on a situation we cannot do anything about. What can we threaten? I would be much more interested in taking a hard stand if this was a violent invasion with ongoing battles and deaths. But so far as I know the Russians haven't fired a shot and are actually being welcomed. Not to mention Crimea was given to Ukraine fifty years ago by Russia anyway! During a time when the idea of Ukraine being independent of the USSR in Moscow was the same as Florida being independent of the USA now. I honestly don't see the big deal.
