"The only problem we're going to have is running out of fuel and bullets."
Methinks ISIS fucked up and kicked open a hornets nest. King Abdullah was a General and Special Forces officer in Jordan's Army. I don't know the current state of Jordan's military today in terms of numbers and training ... but I think they're about to get lots of live fire training, I pray to God it's at ISIS' expense.

Abdullah has badass in his DNA.
His father, King Hussein, is the one who threw Arafat and the PLO out of Jordan when they tried to dethrone him.

I just read a report on another site that Abdullah may be LEADING the reprisals from a cockpit. I don't know what types of aircraft he is proficient in but the accompanying photo had him sitting in what appears to be the righthand seat of a Huey or Blackhawk cockpit, not a fighter. The photo was taken from behind and to his left, clearly from inside the aircraft.
Whether or not he is flying out with them, I wish the Jordanians good hunting and Godspeed.

Photos I've seen have him in a chopper cockpit. He may be fighter qualified as well.
He's also a graduate of the Advanced Armor School at Ft. Knox.
Did I mention he has badass in his bloodline?

As pissed off as the Jordanian people are, I suspect the military recruiters are having to turn people away.
I didn't know about the advanced armor course. ISIS may have REALLY fucked up. Jordan may not have been able to take Israel down, but even then they gave good account of themselves according to some of what I've read.
Does anyone know if the Army has begun mobilizing reserves?

A Jordanian government spokesman has denied rumours that the Jordanian King Abdullah II, a trained pilot, is personally conducting airstrikes against the Islamic State (Isis). Mohammed al-Momani said in a statement that reports about the personal involvement of the King in combat missions on IS targets is unfounded and baseless. Rumours on King Abdullah spread after the he promised to fight back hard against IS, saying that the death of Jordanian pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh "will not be in vain". "We are waging this war to protect our faith, our values and human principles and our war for their sake will be relentless and will hit them in their own ground," he said on state television. Momani had revealed earlier that Jordan will intensify its efforts with an US-led coalition against IS. Later on Wednesday, Abdullah vowed "relentless" war against IS, saying Jordan will "hit them on their own ground". Before becoming king, Abdullah II was a general in charge of Jordanian special forces and a certified Cobra Helicopter pilot. In 1980 he joined the UK's Royal military academy Sandhurst. After the barbaric video of Kasasbeh burning to death emerged, The Royal Hashemite Court's Facebook page published a picture of the King in pilot gear. The picture was retweeted several times and used by some as a proof that the Jordanian king was gearing up to fight IS in person. www.ibtimes.co.uk/no-jordans-king-abdullah-ii-not-personally-flying-planes-against-isis-1486742This is no time for "Independence Day".I respect the man, but being a king of a nation located at Ground Zero is enough. That's the man's job. Let him do it. As has been said:

'This is no time for "Independence Day".'
Agreed. He's got no business leading from the front like a company or field grade officer. He's far more valuable right where he is in Amman.
Something I'm certain has been considered heavily is what to do if another fighter gets shot down. CSAR isn't going to be neglected this time around.
