Sunday, we rested and I read the papers. I am dismayed when I see my idol, Richard M. Nixon, compared to Hillary in the matter of hiding unflattering and even incriminating documents. It isn’t that RN didn’t try to conceal his inappropriate remarks and actions. Clearly, he did. Where the comparison breaks down is in who Richard Nixon was and who Hillary is. Richard Nixon ended the war in Vietnam. He signed the first and most lasting strategic arms agreement with the Soviets. He created and signed the Clean Air Act. He created the Environmental Protection Administration. He caused the last holdout Southern school districts to be integrated. He ended decades of hostility and isolation regarding the People’s Republic of China. This led eventually... More of this interesting article here: spectator.org/articles/62181/don%E2%80%99t-compare-nixon-hillary#! Mention Nixon and everyone immediatly thinks "Watergate" and "I am not a crook." There was much more to this man.

There was a lot to him, in all honesty. Stein listed a lot of it, and yes, I do remember, and give Nixon credit for it.
And that's coming from someone who despised him.
But his historical legacy is what it is, and he earned it.
Stein is definitely right about one thing, and he states it from the start.
There is no comparison between Hillary Clinton and Richard Nixon in any way whatsoever. Before you go into such a comparison (after Stein stating that there is no such comparison, that is...), the persons you are making such a comparison with have to BECOME President before such a comparison can be made. The other Presidents, current and former, are the company Nixon keeps, good and bad.
Nixon's legacy from Watergate and OTHER corruption has become this nation's yardstick for corruption in American politics. That fact is clearly demonstrated by Stein making such a comparision after clearly stating that no such comparison can be made.
And Nixon earned that legacy.
