President Obama said Monday the United States does not have a complete plan to train and equip Iraqi forces to fight the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), saying Baghdad needs to show a greater commitment to building a fighting force. “We don’t yet have a complete strategy,” Obama told reporters during a news conference at the G-7 summit of leading industrial nations in Germany. Obama’s comments are a surprising admission nine months into the U.S.-led coalition’s campaign against the terror group. thehill.com/policy/defense/244272-obama-we-dont-yet-have-a-compete-strategy-against-isisUNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE!

Making an admission like this in a public forum? OMG!!
Obviously he doesn't listen to advice regarding OPSEC. He really needs to learn that ANYTHING said before a camera or microphone has traveled around the planet 3 times before he can finish a sentence. From his mouth to al Bagdadi's ear just that quick.

Was that a surprise for somebody? I know I'll draw fire for "protecting Obama" ( EVEN THOUGH I HAVE BEEN SAYING THIS ALL ALONG...), but what IS the strategy? And why is this wrong to say when we( the U.S. and it's allies, to say nothing of our enemies) KNOW we don't have a strategy? I'll tell you a secret (you can call it that, if it will make you feel better). I don't know what our strategy is. That's because there ISN'T any. Until these shitheads get ready to fight for themselves like someone that wants their own freedom, there ISN'T any.
I've asked more than once, "What's wrong with the Iraqi Army"? rexbo47.proboards.com/thread/11992/wrong-iraqi-armyAnd you think that ISIS doesn't KNOW what the problem is with the Iraqi army? (Or is some chucklehead going to accuse me of "violating OPSEC" again?) [/i] The ANSWER is, THEY DON'T BELIEVE IN FIGHTING FOR THEIR FREEDOM. RELIGION motivates men more than FREEDOM in the Middle East. THEY aren't motivated, just like so many that have been our proxies (South Vietnam comes to mind...at least when compared to the NORTH.). ISIS IS. They may be the WRONG motives as far as we are concerned, but they'll carry those people a lot farther than the Iraqi Army.
We aren't going to stay there forever. ISIS knows that. You CAN'T fight for somebody else's freedom. Not if THEY won't. If they don't fight for it, it wasn't their freedom in the FIRST place.
101, you and Old Sailor KNOW this. SO....who is going to fight for them?? Sorry, but the truth is... WE....ARE....NOT.
The TRUTH is, we always KNEW that SOMEBODY was going to fill the power vacuum in Iraq.
The IRONY is, it LOOKS like that somebody IS THE SAME PEOPLE WE DEFEATED.
A LOT of the ex-Iraqi military that we defeated and dismantled IS ISIS.
WE FUCKING CREATED THEM.
And no, I'M...NOT...MAD...AT...YOU.
I am just TIRED of grabbing THE SHIT END OF THE STICK.
