The three friends from Sacramento were traveling together in Europe when they saved they train from the terrorist attack. Anthony told the audience that if you are ever in a situation like this you can’t hide and must act. It is your only defense.
Spencer Stone ran over and saved a passenger after the three hogtied the terrorist. The passenger was shot in the neck during the attack.
Spencer thanked the French people and medical team for reattaching his thumb after the incident.

Stone is an Airman in the USAF, Alek Scarlatos is a member of the National Guard and an Afghanistan veteran and Anthony Sadler is a civilian. Besides the man shot in the neck there was at least one other injured, a Brit if I remember correctly.
These young men did very well and brought credit on all of us.
