Paris attacks: 60 reported killed; hostage situation ongoingParis (CNN)—Dozens of people are reported dead after a series of what appear to be coordinated attacks across Paris late Friday. A hostage situation is continuing at a concert hall. CNN will update this story as information comes in: www.cnn.com/2015/11/13/world/paris-shooting/index.htmlBits and pieces: At least 7 sites have been bombed with possibly more to come. Reports have gunmen murdering hostages inside the concert hall one by one, police are assaulting the hall as I write this. www.foxnews.com/world/2015/11/13/french-police-report-shootout-and-explosion-in-paris/?intcmp=hpbt1If this doesn't wake Europe up to the danger from the "refugees" streaming in from Syria nothing will. A very large proportion of the refugees is of able bodied military age males. I expected attacks through out Europe, not France only. One thing I am certain of is this thing is only just getting started.

Reports as of 2200 EST have the toll now at least 150 dead, many executed inside the concert hall. My estimate will be somewhere between 160 and 200 by the time everything is sorted out.
Most disturbing is the claim by one of the gunmen who was arrested that "ISIS sent me."
France MUST respond to this attack or be seen as ready to roll over.
President Holland went so far as to declare a state of emergency (martial law) and close the international borders. His problem is that the enemy is already well established inside the country and will have to be dug out the hard way, one Jihadi at a time.
I hope the rest of Europe is awake and smelling the coffee.
God, I hope our government is smelling the coffee too.

Reports this morning have backed off the number of dead a little bit, 127 confirmed with about 200 injured, 80 of those "seriously." Holland is calling it "an act of war." Evidence indicates the attack was committed by 8 individual gunmen and suicide bombers. A Syrian passport was found on the body of one of the suicide bombers and there is a manhunt underway for additional accomplices. The passport is evidence to support the claim that ISIS was involved in the attack, the worst bloodshed seen in Paris since WWII. video.foxnews.com/v/4612368286001/french-president-confirms-isis-behind-attacks/?intcmp=relatedwww.foxnews.com/world/2015/11/14/french-police-report-shootout-and-explosion-in-paris/?intcmp=hpbt1France, Germany and Sweden have the greatest concentrations of Muslim immigrants from North Africa and Syria in Europe. I was and still am expecting trouble would break out throughout Europe and not be confined to one location given the large numbers of fit, military age young men without families who have been spotted entering Europe from the Mid-East.

It damned well is an act of war.
A "wake up call" would mean that someone jumps out of bed, gets their gear on, and takes decisive action.
Any lesser response is just hitting the snooze alarm and rolling over.

Headline on CNN this morning is one of the attackers posed as a refugee. Kinda falls into the "well duh" category. Stand by though, it won't be too long before the useful idiots forget this attack and call everyone racists and xenophobes for warning against allowing a mass influx of refugees.

On a different note, I am hopeful this attack serves as a wakeup call for our current leadership about the threat the world faces with this group and why sometimes, boots on the ground is the right call. I can only wonder how a permanent force in Iraq may have prevented this and others from occurring.

Yesterday or last night there was a confrontation between protestors against the Islamist attacks and Leftists supporting "refugee rights" in France. The bodies are still warm.

"shakes head"
Does anybody want to guess what the response would be if George W. was still in office?

"shakes head" Does anybody want to guess what the response would be if George W. was still in office? -DD Not really because I think we all know what his response would be, probably something similar to my "caveman" response. There are times when the only solution to a problem is the liberal application of heavy artillery and high explosives. I think this is one such. This may not seem like it but it is related - do you remember your naval history? Do you recall the initial prime mover behind the design and building of USS Constitution and her sisters? It wasn't simply to fight the Royal Navy, it was to combat the "radical Islamists" of the day - Algers, Tripoli and the other North African Barbary powers. People tend to forget that given the legend that "Old Ironsides" became because of her actions during the War of 1812. As those old timers would say, "tis time to clear the decks for action, to load and run out the guns."
