This will be a work in progress (as is the board).
1. As much as I believe in the 1st Amendment, your right to swing your fist ends at your neighbors nose. Vigorous passionate discussion is fine, appropriate and encouraged, HOWEVER, if I find your post offensive, e.g. racist, sexist, gratuitously profane, glorifying drunkenness, drugs, gangs, or promoting criminal behavior, don't be surprised if it disappears.
2. The key expectation here is that all members behave like adults. If you heven't reached a level of maturity that allows you to debate or even argue without acting like bratty two year olds, then perhaps this isn't the place for you. Open your browser and google "discussion boards or "weblogs" and you'll find thousands of other places to post. Most of these, however, won't allow snotty behavior either. Failing that, start your own. I'd suggest "Sandbox.com" for a site name.

3. I can be as trash-mouthed as anyone here. I'd prefer to keep the discussions civil and respectable. I'm disinclined to remove the profanity filter, if for no other reason than the fact that it does some funny things to foul language right out of the box, like substituting "girl thingy" for pussy. For now, we'll switch it off and play it by ear. If you just gotta drop the f-bomb or other similarly colorful language, please limit it to the body of your text and keep the titles salt-free. -rev. 2/26/06
4. I love intertesting articles by columnists and news agencies of every political bent (Yes Virginia, some I love to hate, too!) BUT there are laws against plagiarism and copyright violations. If you want to cite an article, post it as a link and give attribution to the source. (Example: "Great collaborative article by Ann Coulter and Al Franken in the New York Times online"). Feel free to add your own commentary as well. After all, it's a discussion board. Let us know what YOU think.
5. If you want to post anywhere but the "General" board, you must register. While we welcome guests, we are trying to build a community. If you have no fear of freedom, you have nothing to fear here. We can't eat you, it's against the law.
6. While all viewpoints are welcome, please note the following caveat: The Imperator and Pontifex Maximus of this board is a Harley ridin', SUV drivin', pro-military, ex-paratrooper, bona fide combat vet, a rabid centrist with a right-hand twist; American by birth, Patriot by choice and Christian by conviction, who believes in God, American V-Twins, and the US Constitution, and is not a member of any organized political party. Those with opposing values should expect to be challenged. If that sticks in your gizzard, a few clicks on your browser's "Back" button will take you back where you came from faster than "There's no place like home."
I think that will do for starters. Let's see how it flows.
Regards
