Yes, I do these exercises. I don't have all the equipment, like the gymnast rings, kettlebells, or sandbags, so I have to make due and improvise.
Last year about this time, I weighed close to 260 lbs. I dropped down to 178 by April 15th of this year so I could box in the Arizona Police and Fire Games. It was my first boxing match and I did win by Unanimous Decision. Anyway, I am sad to report that I'm back at around 195 right now, but I'm still in much better shape than I have been in a long time, I just need to get my diet back in order.
However, I wasn't doing the crossfit back then for the boxing. I trained specifically for boxing. This crossfit, though is pretty darn tight. I'm a lot stronger than I've been for a long time. I run a lot faster than I did even when I was training for boxing.
