This should be fun. There's a firestorm brewing for the Senate! No kidding Remey. I think the Repub's have it right, no matter who GWB nominates that candidate will be "too extreme." Well, if they filibuster and the Repubs fail to break it GW can still fuck with them, albeit only temporarily. He can do a "recess appointment" and put anyone he wants in O'Connor's chair for two years. I'd like to see him "recess appoint" Robert Bork. He wouldn't of course, but the frenzy among the Moonbats would be really entertaining. ;D

We are going to see the Republicans invoke the constitutional option. BOOM The Democrats lost this fight when they lost Tom Daschle their chief obstructionist, over this very issue. Bush won re-election and the Republicans have a majority in the Senate. The president has already won this fight, it is point, game, set, and match. It is all over except for the wailing in the streets. Moonbat agitation alert code red

The Senate should abolish the federal appeals court systems starting with the ninth and ending with the last of them. Let the Supremes hear all the cases. That will give them something to do. The New London Decision points out that the Supremes have too much time on their hands.

The little dust up over lower court appointments was a useful exercise. It made it perfectly clear to Republicans that their core supporters will abandon them if they do not follow through with getting Bush's nominee's confirmed. Both Graham and the other guy, his name escapes me at the moment, where hurt in their home states politically for their little foray into the world of RINO politics with McCain. Bush could nominate Genghis Kahn for real and the Republicans in the Senate would have no other choice but to make sure he is confirmed. The Democrats aided by the MSM will whip the moonbat base into a frenzy, it will all be for not. Whomever the nominee is will go through a bloody battle but the end is not in doubt. Mark my words I just came across this: Read the whole thing here Hoystory.comGetting originalist judges appointed to the court is for many Conservatives the only difference between the two national political party's'. If the Republicans fail to deliver then what's the point. The Republicans would then be in real trouble and not from the fevered mind nonsense that is part of the swamp gas where moonbats reside. The GOP base would insist on a party purge Russian style.
