Child Molestors, Rapists, etc

I believe these people are the scum of the earth. A study indicated that the overwhelming majority (upwards of 90% or more I think) do not "rehabilitate".

But, they are still released into our society. Why? I can only imagine the anger and grief of the parents of their victims. I certainly know that when I become a father, and should this happen to one of my children (of which I will have many , I will personally send the perpetrator to Hell.

Why aren't such crimes punished by death?

I believe the death penalty is appropriate, at the very least life inprisonment.

I can only surmise that our justice system doesnt' value life, particularly juvenile life, enough to protect it.
