Unfortunately, America suffers from the absence of a singular and comprehensive domestic policy aimed towards the maximization of economic productivity and social activity. If such a policy were to be established, it would greatly strengthen America's capacity to resist foreign adversaries, counter domestic disturbances, and maintain a coherent and stable national policy at home and abroad. Because of the wide variety of peoples and ideas present in these United States, it would be necessary then to pursue a policy universal to our common bonds, satisfying the inalienable demands of the individual, and enhancing his capacity to provide for the general welfare and national defense.
The policy, therefore, would:
(1) Codify the absolute rights and duties of the individual citizen in all states and across all borders;
(2) Rejuvenate those institutions that enable the individual to exercise such rights and fulfill such duties; i.e. education;
(3) Encouragement of social activity, including team sports, community projects/service, and the establishment of traditional families;
(4) Eliminate those laws, institutions, and policies contrary to the above;
Pursuant to (1), such reforms would include a re-structuring of the immigration program to encourage immigration by enfranchsing them, the institution of a mandatory civil/military service program after high school or during university, and the relaxation of restrictions on individual enterprise.
Pursuant to (2), such reforms would include the re-organization of state education systems by federal mandate, to include comprehensive "year-round" and "hands-on" education, the creation of a national police force, and the review and reform of all social programs.
Pursuant to (3), sporting and community activities will be encouraged through school programs and social organizations, including the construction of "low-income" housing, enhanced financial incentives for marriage and childbirth, penalties for unjust divorce, and a media campaign to promote a healthy lifestyle and social activity.
Certainly, the loudest criticism will come from traditional conservatives who oppose government "interference". However, as we are quickly approaching a national crisis of historical proportions, the only instrument through which the people can defend themselves from such a fate is through the expansive capacity of the state for mobilization of resources and the enforcement of the law. No individual alone can resist the ebbing tides of history.
