Another poster requested that I explain to him what "crisis" our Nation is presently facing.
America is suffering from a comprehensive absence of essential factors necessasry for our continued survival. The failure is not the result of a shortage of resources or the inability to annihilate an adversary, nor any physical handicap, but instead stem from the crippling disability of a dispirited will. In conjunction with a variety of other problems, these unseen forces are propelling us toward a great disaster. This is our crisis.
Our country lacks resolve. The people lack the drive to fulfill those endeavors necessary for their safety and prosperity. Instead, it has become necessary to compel society by the powers of the government. This will invariably result in greater concentrations of power until the Republic no longer exists.
Our country lacks discipline. The people have lost themselves in an orgy of self-pleasure that fails to realize the obligations of citizenship. Intellectual insanity, as witnessed in places such as mass network news and THC, has destroyed any semblance of public discourse, with arguments instead being framed by special interest groups and political parties.
Our country lacks vision. The concerns of the people are focused continually on the present, with no clear understanding of what the future should hold or how to get there. The result is a series of policies that finds us groping our way through the dark.
A new political force needs to correct these problems. It needs to rejuvenate resolve and civic virtue. It needs to encourage discipline. And it needs to provide a road-map for our future.

Hokum, you think it's bad now you should have been a conservative in the years before the Internet, talk radio, and fox news, and before Ronald Reagan.
You are never going to get any where with this tripe, sorry but that's what it is. You sound like a kook things are looking better and better every day. Education seems to me to be the only real problem that you have identified but your solution is to do a whole heck more of what ruined public education in the first place. Let parents and local communities decide how best to educate their own children and the problem will disappear overnight. Whatever your reading or who ever you are listening to STOP. They're filling your head with a load of piddle. I used to think I was the only conservative in any room of people and I was generally correct, but every once in a while after standing up for my beliefs someone would come up to me and say thank you, you said the things I think myself. Well now conservatives are no longer afraid to stand up for themselves and believe me that was not always the case. So for me coming from that sort of a background where things I never thought I would see in my life time like a Republican controlled house senate and executive. I really can't join you in your new world order dystopia. You are projecting your own doubts and fears onto society.

FOX News? The station that believes breaking national news is a water main break in downtown Atlanta? The internet? Don't you remember THC? Oh come on - you know as well as I do that hidden beneath these appearances nothing has changed. Jobs are still exported. Our economy depends upon the good graces of foreign officials. Education continues to flounder. Ridiculous lawsuits drown our judicial system. And the same corporations and economic interests of the 1980s and 1970s still "contribute" to the same two political parties of today. You say let "parents and local communities decide" - parents like Michael Newdow? The crisis towards which we are pushed is not one of some great epic clash, but one of a quiet, ignorant surrender to the powers that be; a silent coup invisible to our eyes.
Entertained by self indulgence, who would bother to notice? It is if we're at great house party unable to hear the footsteps of the burglar upstairs.

Sorry I'm not interested in this your out of your mind and completely out of touch with reality. So no politicians are in the pockets of economic interests? FOX News is the word of God? Michael Newdow is a responsible and respectable father? Our economy is doing just fine, our children are learning everything they can and should in school, and everyone on THC is an intelligent and mature intellect?

So no politicians are in the pockets of economic interests?
some things never change and there will always be corrupt politicians of all strips there are no more now than in the past.
FOX News is the word of God?
Yes of course Fox News is the inspired word of God how can you possibly deny that?
Michael Newdow is a responsible and respectable father?
I don't the man nor am I privy to his skills as a parent.
Our economy is doing just fine,
Hahahaha geez the economy is out performing every other economy on the planet and is better than it ever has been in my lifetime. Are you seriously proposing the economy is in the tank?
our children are learning everything they can and should in school,
No and that is due to the education establishment the intervention of government and the nations teachers unions. School vouchers sound to me to be an easy fix more government intrusion will only make the problems worse.
and everyone on THC is an intelligent and mature intellect?
Who cares?

You're obviously not comprehending the larger problem that transcends the little details.
You say nothing is wrong with America.
I say that's exactly it.
