There are people who are unable to appreciate or comprehend the scale of the unfolding events across Asia minor. They can only understand the limitations of their narrow worldview, restricted by the demands of their false ideologies. They do not realize that an epic battle is now occurring - that a war of annihilation between Liberty and Tyranny is waging. The stakes of this war are so great that it will influence the lives of generations to come, dictating whether they live in freedom or in tyranny. Only one will survive.
We should consider what would have happened had we not embarked upon the crusade in which we find ourselves. We must consider what would have happened had we not rooted out the Taliban in Afghanistan, or Saddam Huessein in Iraq. Only then can we understand what is at risk. Our soldiers presently fighting are daily witnesses to the injustices of Islam and the destruction designed for its subjects. They see first hand the conditions of the Islamic "world". They know what is in store for the Free World should this caged animal be let loose. It is an epic battle in the broadest sense of the word. The extent exceeds all comparisons.
We cannot look backwards and ask what could have been done differently, or how peace could have been maintained. To look back only reveals to us the sinister campaign aimed at our destruction, illuminated by the atrocities of 9/11. We can only look forwards. In Iraq and Afghanistan, advances are made every hour as more roads and schools are finished, as businesses and recreation centers open, as the Iraqi and Afghani people express themselves in ways never before possible. But this alone is not sufficient to build a stable future. We must pursue without hestitation tyranny in all its forms and vanquish the beast. We know that only sacrifice and privation and unprecedented efforts can defeat the sinister threat from our hating, envious enemy. We are prepared. And we are winning.
The new century began on the morning of 9.11.2001, and though the sun shone bright that day, it was America's darkest hour. But we know that time never stands still. It is ever marching towards the future. Happy is he who follows in its footsteps for he will be there to seize our moment of victory.
