Yesterday afternoon, my wife went to Home Depot to buy screws. They were giving 10 percent off for the military and retirees. When she got to the cash register, front of her was an elderly gentleman. Cashier asked the getleman if he had ID card, so she can give him a discount on his purchase. He angryly responded that he will never shop in the Home Depot again because of military discout for this weekend. It is sad that many people do not realize the sacrifice the military made, so they could even shop in the Home Depot.

Guess this guy doesn't get out much. There are usualy discounts for military personnel on a plethora of things from fishing licenses to dry cleaning.
It's just a nice show of appreciation.

Fortunately he lives in a country where millions from his generation served so he could have the right to be an arrogant jackass.

As somebody said. We protected his freedom so he could tell us how our lives sucks. Isn't that nice.
