It looks like Comrade Fidel has issues about freedom of speach... WASHINGTON - The Cuban government cut off electricity to the U.S. diplomatic mission in Havana a week ago, and U.S. requests for power to be restored have gone unanswered, the State Department said Monday. ADVERTISEMENT The facility has been operating with generator power. Work at the mission continues, including interviews of refugees and outreach programs for the Cuban people, State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said. news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060612/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/us_cuba_3

As comrade Fidel would say, it is the price of Cuban freedom. US mission is the imperialist station.

the words Fidel, Cuban and Freedom all in one sentence? Wouldn't that be a triple oximoron?

Definitely. However the whole communist idea is oxymoron. Strangly, many people including some in the US still believe in this idea.

Sadly, there seems to be a large number of the "educated" that are among those that believe in communism and those people populate collage campusses. You know, I wonder what it's like to have lived your entire life in a bubble.

Well, Fidel came out and expressed anger at the killing of Zarqawi. He sounded very much like a liberal. 99% of Cuba is waiting for him to kick the bucket.

Whatta you wanna bet when he does finally kick that, after the obligatory morning period and the infighting over who takes over ends, there will be a huge celebration when relations are restored and real elections happen.

I don't understand why the "educated" elite believe in Communism....don't they realize that in a Communist country, they'd be the first to die?
Morons....

Falcon, they love communism, however they love the mighty dollar more and you cannot have both. They did not experience the trama, anguish, psychological pressure, etc, of communism. they did not see what happen to the people in the communist country. They did not see the borders with mines, Phoenix system, dogs and soldiers guarding. They did not see people who tried to leave without anything just to have freedom. I still remember about month before the wall came down when VOPOS shot and killed 10 year old kid in our sector, because he was crossing the border. You never forget that. These communist barstards in the US want to live in communist system. Have mercy.

I do find it funny that those elitists (IE: the intelligensia) are usually the first to get sent to the Gulag whenever the commies get control of a country. That they grasp a failed system that has murdered more people than any other in history is remarkable...and a clear indication of just how truly ignorant these people are.

SFC, in 1990 the French done very nice job when they interviewed Gulags camp commander in gulag somewhere in Siberia. I don't recall the name. They not only interviewed the Commander, they also talked to prisoners. They talked to one kid about 20 year old, who got send to prison for speaking against the government policies. They showed the prison cells, chow hall and part of the prison grounds. I wish I would of take that program and then copy them and send them to each US prison system for the insiders to watch closely and learn.

Working the prisoners to death while feeding them starvation rations? Or was it a propaganda piece like most everything shown the west in those days?
