I was a little bored over at THC and I read a post asking for signs of progress in Iraq as far as schools. I went ahead and did a google search and found a few intersting storyies and one website that offers to take any donations that people would like to give to help school children in Iraq. I'm not sure if anybody here wishes to help, but I thought I'd c and p part of my THC post here just in case. .......................................................................................... Doing a simple google search on Iraqi schools I found this interesting website www.iraqischools.com/This appears to be a website dedicated to helping the children of Iraq. If you would like you can volunteer to send school supplies and other things to help out. Here's a excerpt from the opening page. Notes from Major Priatko: Every day, our soldiers issue the supplies to Iraqi school children throughout our area of operations which encompasses a population of approximately 800,000 Iraqi people. Words cannot express the gratification each child experiences when our soldiers present them with any one of the various donated items.

I talk to several guardsmen who were helping to build and fix schools. Stories like that seldom make front page news. People are always showered with ugly news from Iraq. Little bit of the good news would be nice. Thanks for posting.
