*Abu Yahya Al-Libi Calls on Muslim Youth to Join the Jihad
On December 19, 2007, the Islamist forum Al-Ekhlaas, hosted by NOC4Hosts Inc. in Florida, USA, posted a 41-minute video address by Al-Qaeda Shari'a Council head Abu Yahya Al-Libi. The video, produced by the Al-Qaeda media company Al-Sahab, apparently comes in response to the growing hostility in Iraq towards foreign jihad fighters, and the rising tension between these fighters and the local mujahideen. Al-Libi explains that when an enemy invades an Islamic country and its people are unable to repel it, it is the duty of Muslims from neighboring countries to come to their aid. He also warns the Muslims not to heed apostates, misguided clerics and other "allies of Satan" who try to discourage them from joining the jihad.
The following are excerpts from the address:
"Were our Muslim brothers in Iraq able to drive out the occupier?... Were our brother mujahideen in Afghanistan able to repel their enemy? For the past six years, they have been fighting and struggling with mixed success, and how many martyrs have fallen?...
"Oh youth of the [Islamic] ummahM, rush to the aid of your brothers in Iraq, Somalia, Algeria and Chechnya! Pay no heed to the dubious claims that Satan puts in the mouths of his allies…"

*Islamist Forums Take New Security Measures
On December 17, 2007, the English section of the Islamist Al-Ekhlaas forum (www.ek-ls.org), hosted by NOC4Hosts Inc., Tampa, FL, USA, posted a message revealing further security measures being taken by Islamist forums in light of the intensifying campaign in the West against Islamist websites.[1]
The message indicates that Islamists have created exclusive, invitation-only forums because of the fear of infiltration by non-Muslim Western agencies and organizations.
For example, a discussion in the Al-Ekhlaas forum showed that new members are individually invited to participate in the English-language Al-Firdaws forum (www.al-firdaws.net/vbe) based on the quantity and quality of their written contributions on other Islamist forums and on their commitment to jihad. According to the threaded discussion, the Al-Firdaws forum administration decided that if "spies and bad people" are exposed in the forum, both they and the members who invited them will be banned from the site
Below are images from the Al-Ekhlaas forum, showing a discussion about how to join the Al-Firdaws forum.[2] Following them is an image from Al-Firdaws stating that registration is by invitation only

*Ayman Al-Zawahiri In New Video: "Iran Has Stabbed A Knife Into The Back Of The Islamic Nation"
In an interview with the Al-Qaeda media company Al-Sahab, Al-Qaeda deputy Ayman Al-Zawahiri accused Iran of collaborating with the U.S. in the latter's invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq, and stated that even though Iran reiterates slogans of "Death to America" and "Death to Israel," no Shi'ite cleric inside or outside Iran had ever issued a fatwa calling for jihad against the Americans in Iraq or in Afghanistan.
With regard to the possibility of Al-Qaeda helping Iran in the event of a U.S. attack on it, Al-Zawahiri said: "Iran has stabbed a knife into the back of the Islamic nation, and the traces of this stabbing will remain in the memory of the Muslims for a long time to come." He wondered whether Tehran was more important to Iranians than Karbala and Najaf [which are holy to Shi'ites], because while they did not lift a finger when the Americans struck Karbala and Najaf, they threatened to retaliate harshly if the Americans attacked Iran.
Al-Zawahiri called on the jihad fighters in Iraq to unite their ranks, to ignore the regime's clerics, to fight the Crusaders and those who collaborate with them, and to join with the Islamic State of Iraq in order to establish the Islamic Caliphate.
