Im Terribly busy right now. I am preparing some seminar classes for the summer and they can be a bitch, and I have been doing a lot of speaking. I lectured at Rockhurst University in Kansas City Friday and just got home to find this new bastion. I am now NixonsGhost. It means so many things. So many levels to it. Hee hee!

As i said, I like his "ghost" far better than I liked him in life. You really should use that moniker over at THC. It'll make Grumpy wet himself. ;D Welcome to the board!

My wife is a lead engineer for a firm near the Rockhurst campus. What did you speak on? I spoke on the Folly of the New Deal. Basically that while FDR gave the US a huge amount of great investments. i.e. community swimming pools, stadiums, roads, etc. His economic plan was severely flawed and was not a factor in the extracation of the US from the Great depression, in fact it probably prolonged the misery.

Gee, Guy, I wish I knew too. I would have flown or drove up. I'm in OKC but my oldest daughter and her family are in KC,MO.

A lot of controversy there! Dad was a CPA and financial comtroller for the University of Missouri System. We both had the same Econ professor: Dr. Picney Walker - Nixon's man. Dad graduated the university in 1957 and I graduated in 1978. Man, Dr. Walker was a hoot! Did you make your classes fun? I spoke on the Folly of the New Deal. Yeah i think so, I try not to get into super heavy stuff as a visiting professor. But as an economics proffessor, you can bore people pretty easily if you don't watch yourself! My historical talks tend to be controversial, I am not one to perpetuate the madness that has been fed to people over the years considering a large number of things. But if you ever want to know anything, drop me a line and I will be happy to try and explain it.
