Good to see you. I heard about some Border Patrol Agents getting shot one day in your neck of the woods and thought of you right off.

Yep...that really was my neck of the woods. My station, my bros...my shift as well.
One of them is out and at home, the other is still in rehab. He is gonna have one leg shorter'n the other when he finally gets up and at'em.
They apparently were ambushed after jumping what later turned out to be a dope load of 598lbs. (we found it the next day) We've had an escalation with this particular group going on for quite a while now. In fact, it all started with a 2,400lb load that I got with 3 other guys last August. They shot at us with AK's during that exchange and it has gradually gotten worse and worse. This was the first time they've actually hit an Agent though and from our intel, they've let us knwo to expect it to continue and escalate if we continue to pop their dope loads...
Our "friendly" neighbors to the south...

We have about 150 M-4's (400+ Agents) and about 40 Remington .12 870 Police Magnums...but they are carrying FAL's and AK's. We were supposed to get M-14's, but they (US Government) shot that idea down. Now they are looking at more M-4's and also M-16 A-2's. I wish they'd issue some Remington 700's with scopes and heavy barrels... ;D Thanks fo asking Toe...mighty thoughtful of you. |

The rumour mill has it that CBP (Customs and Border Protection) has the 14's, but won't allow them to be issued to BP. We're the redhead stepchildren and CBP is kinda like the Mommie agency. I dunno though. I'll try to find out exactly what is going on so you'll know as a law-abiding taxpayer. Man...I'd surely feel lots better with a 14 on my shoulder! |
