As for being responsible for this -- if you're referring to the board -- it was Rex (101ABN) who had the patience to start another board. When we want to escape the insanity of the THC board, we come here for lucid discussion. Though now that Strat has joined us, I don't know to what extent that lucidity will last. ;D Take care. Well, it is a great idea. I went looking for you guys at the Hubcap a while back and it was gone...so I had to dwell around THC for abit. I've been trying to stay away from there though...but you know how that place is. It's like a bad rash, you just cannot get rid of it! You're right though...Strat is definately gonna muddy up the waters! ;D |

Glad to see you here BP. Had enough of Bobbie the Communist?  O and do take care of yourself out there on the border. You guys are way too valuable to go ahead and get yourselves injured - or worse, killed. Good luck fighting the impossible fight. Bobbie is way too easily ignored...some of the other moonbats over there are another story though. We'll definately take care out here too. Keep your fingers crossed for some legislation coming soon to fix (or try to) the border situation. I have no idea why I'm optimistic about this.  What kind of bike are you getting? The way I see it, there is no incentive for any representative to propose stronger immigration control. They wouldn't gain any votes because of it but they would certainly lose all of their Latino support if they do. In other words, it probably won't get done until the rest of us just say ENOUGH and force them to fix the damn border. BTW, as a BPA how do you feel about the Minutemen? I was reading a story about how the BP was ordered to actually stop arresting illegal immigrants so that the MM project would look as though it was actually hurting the fight against illegal immigration. Did you hear anything about that? I'll try to find the story on-line. If a get a bike it's gonna be the Kawasaki ZX-6R. So I've been thinking about getting the 227 horse-power with turbo-charge Saab 9-2X. I get my motorcycle license next week so I'll decide then. Hehe, I just started listening to a German metal band called Rammstein and so I just felt like putting that quote up there. I know very little German from my roommates who speak some of it but not nearly enough to have a conversation. However, I'm gonna try out one of those self-teaching programs to try to learn some. If I really like it I'll take German in college for two semesters to try to really learn it. |

I don't either, but we're hearing some rumblings along the ENOUGH lines from the general public, so I'm still hoping. They are opening up lots of Deportation Officer spots in cities across the US to round up illegals already in-country, so this could be a start. I'm trying to get one just to get away from the border and back closer to home. I think they are wonderful. You are right about the cover-up also. There was an unwritten order to try and show up the MM. However, after it hit the fan, the Chief of my sector, who was apparently responsible for the verbal order issued a writtten directive that this had never occurred and it was against policy, malfeasance, yada, yada...Of course written trumps verbal. Unfortunately for Chief Nicely, Tancredo caught wind of it and is/was sniffing around. Who knows what he'll turn up. Nice bike...be careful though. I had a Honda CBR-600 back in the day and I had to sell it after I laid it down after almost being run over by an unobservant driver. Think about it like this...the car is much more practicle if it is your only wheels. Try the Rosetta Stone, it is really good. My wife says it teachs you almost like you learn it as a child, ie starting slow ans small and building with repition, etc... It is more practical I think than what I went through in BP Academy, but I still learned a lot of Spanish in the first year while I was probationary. In Academy, it is more Academic with the rules and such, but the Rosetta way doesn't delve in grammatics or rules at all. I'm still learning German and I need to get faster since my lil' girl is 17 mos and she's being raised bilingual. I can't have Momma and my lil one sprechen Deutsch behind my back! |

I may have to bitch to somebody about this, but then I like bitching. Keep us posted on what's going on, will you? 10-4. I'm not sure exactly what happened. The rumour mill has it that CBP (Customs and Border Protection) has the 14's, but won't allow them to be issued to BP. We're the redhead stepchildren and CBP is kinda like the Mommie agency. I dunno though. I'll try to find out exactly what is going on so you'll know as a law-abiding taxpayer. Man...I'd surely feel lots better with a 14 on my shoulder! I had to qualify on the thing for ship's self defense force. The only real drawback to the '14 is it's weight, gets kinda heavy to lug around all day. But when you need a piece capable of reaching out and "touching," it will get the job done. The model we had aboard CARON was capable of full auto and semi-auto fire, no "3 shot burst" like the '16. The Gunner's Mates showed us that this thing can even punch through an aluminum watertight door. I hope you get your wish shipmate. |

Frankly, I don't even want to know. It's just going to make me angry and want to move out to Arizona myself  . I can't believe that American agents would actually want to harm the Republic just to show up the MM. Inter-service politics is all too familiar to me though - too many times have I read/heard stories about the different branches of the military fighting against us each other just to get additional funding/support. Why people can't just serve the best interests of America I have no idea... I have a Nissan Altima right now that is all bought and paid for so if I get a bike I'm gonna keep it so long as I pay for the insurance. If I get a new car I'd trade it in to help pay for the Saab. If I get the bike I gotta pay for the lease payments (about 150 a month), the bike insurance and the car insurance. Starting in August I get $350 a month from the Air Force (for doing ROTC) so that should hopefully cover everything. I also work at school and during the summer so hopefully I'll be able to afford it all. If it all works out I'd love to get the bike. It's like my life's dream Yea I was actually thinking of the Rosetta Stone. So your wife liked it? Because I am going to buy the 1st and 2nd Levels soon (cheaper to buy together) so that I can start learning German. If you don't mind my asking, why is your daughter learning German? Most kids these days learn either French or Spanish - although the overwhelming majority choose Spanish. Is your family ancestry German? |

The inter-service politics is it in a nutshell. Basically it is CYA and continue upward mobility as long as possible since most all of the upper mgt is trying to pull off the high hat trick. This is a federal retirement thing. When you retire, you take your highest three earning years and add'em up, then divide by three...this is the salary that your retirement % will be based upon. Having more money in their pockets when they retire is better than doing their jobs proficiently or even trying to protect their country. Sad, but true...it all goes against the lines of doing the right thing, especially in regards to the country that allows you to be what you are and have the rights you enjoy. But that is just hyper-patriotic jibberish... Well, that is cool if you have a car already...life can be tough with just a bike. My life's dream as far as vehicles and such is to get my ass back to the east coast and behind the controls of my boat again. Not any of that happening out here in the freaking desert. Well, my wife is a German citizen who has been a resident alien since 92 who is naturalizing now. She was very impressed with the RS program. SO that is why lil' BPA is learning German. Her grandparents on her Mom's side are still living in Nuernberg now, as is her aunt. She is gonna have to learn it to communicate with half of her family. I suppose she'll learn spanish or something else one day after she gets older. It should be easier for her if she already has two languages under her belt. |

I mean that the Left leaning media seems more intent on showing American excesses with violence rather than the plight of the border agents. Are you GS employees? If so, you and your family are given little more support than Federal Marshals. Where are the stories about the agents who suffer PTSD and loose families because of the stress?
I stand and salute you and your brothers. A close friend's father worked your sector 40 years ago but retired from the Glacier National Park region up north 25 years ago. Mr. Drinkwine was shot in a gun battle someplace in Arizona and then again along the Canadian border years later. Arbor is that friend with the USACHPPM that I have spoken of several times on THC. Arbor is the one who kept telling me that WMD components were being discovered and one of environmental chemists who identified the Sarin dump site in Baghdad. He is a chemist working with the water treatment project in Baghdad and just signed on for another 18 months.
It seems to me that the American press is preoccupied with out southern border, are there equally as dangerous sectors along the Canadian border?
