Just wanted to introduce myself. I am currently a CW3, 151A (Aviation Maintenance Tech) with 21 1/2 years active duty (Army), and still going strong. I am currently in an instructor position at FT Eustis, VA and I love this area. There is so much history in this area (Yorktown, Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown).

Yorktown is awesome. I spent some time stationed at Dam Neck (Navy) 40 miles down the road, but I spent many a sunny weekend enjoying fishing on the Yorktown pier.

Sailor, I was stationed here once before from 93-96. I was an E-6 and an instructor in the Utility Helicopter Division, teaching new privates how to maintain the UH-60 Blackhawk.

I've been here since the Canoe Club first saw fit to send my happy ass to sea in 1984. Lots to do and lots to see here. You could do worse, and probably have (I have.) I hope you don't mind my using the Navy/Marine "Gunner" tag for you as a Chief Warrant Officer 3. I don't know the Army slang. Me, I was just another ignorant squid. Retired as a Petty Officer First Class/E-6 in 1993 after 21 years as a Cryptologic Technician. |
