Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't a craft like that belong in the USAF? No. It would belong to the Army as a close air support aircraft.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't a craft like that belong in the USAF? Since when did the Air Farce adopt a naval rank structure? Nope. We do it the Navy way, we bring the ship right in close, to where the keel is almost in the mud ... and then unload ALL the ordinance through the muzzles. THAT oughta be quite a show! BTW, NNSB is skipping production of the CVN-21 and going straight to the next generation birdfarm. members.iinet.net.au/~glenn.crouch/wallpapers/RD2003%20-%20Battlestar%20Galactica%20-%202.jpg ;D
