Yeah, I wanted to join the Army... and then the Marines... and then the Army... and then the Marines... etc. One of my close friends just got back from afghanistan he's a marine. He says he hates the marines... but that might just be because his MOS has him in japan putting on shows for other marines. He says Afghanistan can get up to 140 degrees. He told me tails of Thailand... said if you go anywhere on earth, go to thailand. I know a LOT of people that went into the military, half the time I'm envious, the other half I'm glad I'm not in the stinkin desert.
When the Marines started MARSOC about a month ago that kinda made me think about going for the marines again. I'm technically 4-F, but one of my friends (who actually went to West Point...then dropped out and went to University of Michegan or something) was also "technically" 4-F.
Fun fact: I while back on THC I asked what you would call someone who hates the Iraq war and REALLY hates bush... the guy I was talking about was a man I met in France during the 60th aniversary of D-day, ex SF, I mean, you think grumblibear hates bush, you never so this guy, he's a halo jumpin silent killin scary ass mofo... retired.
