Yeah, I wanted to join the Army... and then the Marines... and then the Army... and then the Marines... etc. One of my close friends just got back from afghanistan he's a marine. He says he hates the marines... but that might just be because his MOS has him in japan putting on shows for other marines. He says Afghanistan can get up to 140 degrees. He told me tails of Thailand... said if you go anywhere on earth, go to thailand. I know a LOT of people that went into the military, half the time I'm envious, the other half I'm glad I'm not in the stinkin desert. When the Marines started MARSOC about a month ago that kinda made me think about going for the marines again. I'm technically 4-F, but one of my friends (who actually went to West Point...then dropped out and went to University of Michegan or something) was also "technically" 4-F. Fun fact: I while back on THC I asked what you would call someone who hates the Iraq war and REALLY hates bush... the guy I was talking about was a man I met in France during the 60th aniversary of D-day, ex SF, I mean, you think grumblibear hates bush, you never so this guy, he's a halo jumpin silent killin scary ass mofo... retired. Help me out here, what does 4-F mean exactly? And how do you know this bad-ass soldier you keep talking about?

4-F means you are disqualified from joining the military based on health. If you have epilepsy, or a heart condition, or asthma etc.
When I went to Normandy for the 60th aniversary of D-day he was the planner. Gene Garron I believe was his name. he walked with two crutches. Apparently he was Delta Force but if you asked him all he would say was he was SF.

Well, I know a few WW2 veterans and Vietnam veterans myself, and they all support President Bush.

I had when I was a kid. I'm fine now, but some say I'm still considered 4-F and some say I'm not.
Honestly I was suprised about Garron. I mean... I thought he'd support bush. But damn. Most the veterans I know don't so much support bush as they do the troops at war and feel the democrats are going to pull a "vietnam" on Iraq. However I'd say the majority of veterans support bush.

Well, I have a lot of friends in the Army, so I can only speak from my experience with them. They all support Bush and the war in Iraq. So do my former ROTC instructors. You see that guy in one of the pictures I posted of me in uniform? Well, he's former 101st Airborne and he hates liberals. Later.

You live in New York. Places like New York or San Francisco (almost as expensive as NY ;-) ) conservatives are more extreme due to the extreme liberals. :-)

I've been to SF, I couldn't live there, not because of the liberalism of course, but the homelessness in that city is insane. I've never seen anything like it. You can't walk a single block downtown without passing ten homeless beggers. It's a beautiful city though.

Yeah, I hear it's a nice city, so I may visit one day. But I'll stay only for a day or two..lol

Speaking of homeless people.......DC is the homeless capital of the world.
NYC, of course, got rid of homeless people (thank you Rudy). DC doesn't and so they just roam the streest and kill people.........
Most of them are mentally retarded and shouldn't be on the streets anyway.

No picture with the President yet Mario? Nah Chris. I did meet a bunch og big people -- Henry Kissinger, Condi Rice, Secretary Rumsfeld, and VP Cheney. Condi, Rumsfeld, and Cheney were all at National Review's 50th Anniversary party in D.C. Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to bring cameras or take pics. But I also got in a little trouble with the Secret Service..lol
