I ordered this new paintball gear last week and I got to play with it this past Saturday. Man....it was so amazing. The pants have padding on them to help you run around and protect your knees, which makes everything so much easier. Plus the stuff is really light but it protects you well so you don't get really sweaty.

I haven't played paintball in forever. When I was stationed in WA state, we used to get fucking brutal with our games. Our games were downright medieval.

It's by far my favorite thing to do. I used to just play recreationally but my friends and I have actually made our own teams. I've got my own gun, equipment, etc. Now we just have to practice and get better...
I love playing but it's just so expensive. We're hoping to eventually get sponsored by someone so that we don't have to pay for the paint. Cause that stuff is expensive....

In Washington, the station was out in teh middle of no where. It actually got really busy there in the summer, but most of the winter the whole area was dead. So the station was basically surrounded my dense pacific northwest woods- redwoods, ferns, etc. We all bought camo gear at face paint and had some kick ass games. There were some old WWII bunkers on the property so we would usually base our games around taking turns assualting a fixed position. Or capture the flag (my favorite). Playing in the pouring rain was the best.
Where I'm stationed now sucks. Except for a few they're all a bunch of pussies. We played once (and only once) and a bunch of them stopped cause they thought it hurt too much. Of course it hurts, you pussy! I usually wear kevlar under my shirt. I was getting way to many welts.

I play in Tampa once in a while. The worse are the little kids that have expensive markers (not guns, it ain't PC). One little shit on my team tagged me in the back...twice. So, we would "eliminate" him early.

We played once (and only once) and a bunch of them stopped cause they thought it hurt too much. Of course it hurts, you pussy! I usually wear kevlar under my shirt. I was getting way to many welts. I usually get a few welts every time I play. I play speedball a lot though, which means that within a few hours I'll probably play like 20-30 rounds. Whenever I play woodsball I don't get shot that much but speedball I get shot a lot. This new gear helps protect me better but I still get a lot of welts. But it doesn't really hurt that much. The worst shot I've ever gotten was nearly point-blank in the back of the head. It hurt but I got over it. People who complain about paintball hurting are just gay..... O yea, we went paintballing on Saturday with ROTC and like half the people there have never played before and don't know the rules. They didn't know that you aren't supposed to fucking shoot people from less than 5 feet away. So I'm behind this huge rock and I stand up to lay down cover fire for my friend when all of a sudden this girl stands up on the other side (I had no idea she was there) and starts firing randomly. Well, one of those shots hits me right in the neck....I was just like "Jesus Christ....what the fuck!!" It started bleeding and I still have a cut.... Our Major was there so I didn't say anything directly to her but if it was my friends and I playing.....I would have punched that girl in the face.

O well - I guess its better than those kids staying at home and playing video games. I hate playing with little kids cause they always want to hide with me. I'm like dude....get the fuck out of my bunker right now. They always give up my spot and I end up dying with them. Stupid bastards...

I haven't played in a long time, but back when I played all the 'padding' anybody used was just jeans and a t-shirt. I guess others just bruise easily

Before I got this stuff I'd play in my BDU pants and brown t-shirt.
But after getting shot point-blank in every part of my body, I figured it was time for some real equipment. Plus it just looks cooler...
Once you've been shot point-blank in the knuckle, back of the head, throat, leg, arm, chest, etc. you begin to get annoyed at the bleeding....

James- There's an abandoned school house on campus (100+ rooms) where the detachment conducts "practical exercises" with the local Air National Guardsmen as our OPFOR. In reality, we simply spend an entire day playing paintball in our fatigues. Our last exercise was MOUT training, while the next one is set to be Conducting a Defense, and Conducting an Attack.

I used to play in jeans. The last time I got my worse hit. On the inside of my thigh, right near the femoral artery. I pretty much stunned me. Since then I wear BDU's. I don't like playing speed ball, since I'm old and slow now :-) . I'm going to upgrade my marker when I get back.
Oh, by the FF, you never shoot over an obstacle, always around the side. And if posible, switch sides at irregular intervals.
