Barry Bonds had knee surgery that may keep him from playing this year. He sits at 704 career steroid homeruns.
At the end of last year there was speculation that Barry could pass Hammerin Hank Aarons record for career homeruns. Now I raise the question of whether he will at all. He won't break it this year, if he misses the entire year he may not break it until sometime in 2007. By than he may have found himself banned for steroids, may have suffered worse injuries, and more.

While Bonds will probably not be taken out of the official record books, enough has been done to tarnish his name that no one truly acknowledges him anymore. If he breaks Aaron's record, no one will recognize Bonds as the "home run king". In my opinion, Roger Maris is still the single-season home run king because McGuire and Sosa probably both did steroids. I just feel bad for the guy who paid $1 million for Bonds' 73rd home run ball. Too bad no one cares anymore

The fued with Jeff Kent a few years back sparked what many cited as Barry's arrogant and selfish ways.

Gee...gosh...gasp...you don't suppose that the fact that Barryoid will be closely watched from now has anything to do with this? Naw, I was silly to even suggest that.

He was all over the news last night, whining that the press had finally manged to hurt him. True to the egomaniacal form of today's MLB star, it's all about him. Cry me a freakin' river! He couldn't make a pimple on Aaron's ass. I hope he never sets foot on a field again. This type of jock typifies what's wrong with sports today.

I read that it got so bad that the entire Giants team hated Bonds and no one would go out to congratulate him after hitting a home run. Bonds should try to emulate a real gentleman and all-around player like Jeff Kent. He could learn a few things from him.

In his eyes he is a black man and that is the sole reason people hate his guts. Course I wonder if people ever remind him of the popular black players such as Walter Payton, Michael Jordan, and Jerry Rice. These players get along well with their teammates and were well liked by fans.
