One of the most rediculous things I continue to see in sports is players pointing to the sky to acknowledge god after they've come up with some miraculas play.
There's genocide in Sudan, a insurgency in Iraq, Bid laden is still loose, but it's 4th and 1 and god will help you out.
Does anybody else find this absurd?

But firstly, realize that not all people who do point to the sky etc., aren't always doing it to acknowledge God. I've heard of players losing family members and doing it to recognize them. But anyway, I don't think it's a matter of God caring as much as it is a player thanking God for giving him the ability to perform well. If everything comes from God, then so does my ability to play baseball. Therefore, I (if I were in MLB) would thank God for my abilities.
