I remember the Yankee Red Sox rivalry back to Ted Williams vs Micky Mantle in the 1950s!

...what other "rivalry" could there actually be?
Those teams would rather beat each other than be World Champs.

There are plenty of great stories out there in the baseball world but everytime I turn on ESPN it's the hard luck Red Sox and the evil empire Yankees.

Being a diehard Mets fan I would vote Mets/Braves a few years ago. The Mets hardly have real rivals anymore though. Maybe the Yankees but the games don't mean anything special in the standings.
