I've always had a hatred for Terrel Owens. Being a Packer fan I hated him since that lucky 20 yard grab he made to knock the Packers out of the playoffs in 99 I think it was. My hatred of the than unknown receiver built as he showed himself to be one of those selfish " my team sucks" kind of player. Time after time when the 49ers lost I could look at more than one instance where TO dropped a ball that hit him in the numbers, and time after time TO would blame the QB for not getting him the ball. TO wanted out of San Fransico and got his wish when he was sent to Baltimore. He didn't want to go to Baltimore and raised a fuss until the Ravens sent him to the Eagles. People there welcomed his arrival, but I could only guess how soon he'd ware out his welcome. To his credit he played a outstanding season and got along fine with the team. His play in the Superbowl, against doctors orders, was inspiring. Through all this I still wondered when he'd ware out his welcome. Well that time may have come. TO sounded off about the superbowl and of course his QB Donovan Mcnabb. TO made statements that "he's not the one that got sick" in which he refers to a rumer that the QB was not well during the teams final drive in their loss to the Patriots. Mcnabb responded "keep my name out of your mouth." Well TO also want's a new contract. The 7-year 49 million he signed a year ago is no longer enough. The Eagles have said they will not re-negociate and QB Mcnabb has suggested the Eagles would be fine without the pro-bowl receiver. His hold out may last through training camp, but I for one hope the Eagles do not give in. Owens needs them more than they need him. If Owens persists send him to a new team. While I was wrong that it took him a year to ruffle feathers real bad, it certainly seems he may be finished if he continues with his current actions. www.nfl.com/teams/story/PHI/8463984

I especially hate him because I'm a Giants fan and for the past few years he has beaten us a lot. There was a period a couple years ago when the Giants had won nine games straight against the Eagles but now its the other way around. But next year will be different when we get Eli Manning ready to go I think the best part of the Super Bowl last year was watching the last drive of the Eagles. McNabb either over-threw everyone or threw the ball 5 yards too short. And everytime he made a mistake he'd just hit his chest and go "Yo shit...my bad". And people actually thought that he was a good QB? He chokes everytime he's put into a big spot and the Super Bowl just proved it once again. O, and the Super Bowl also confirmed what Rush Limbaugh and all of us Giants fans have been saying for a while. Donovan McNabb is not a good QB - the media simply makes him out to be one because they are desperate for a black QB to succeed. Regardless, McNabb is awful and only gets high pass numbers because he throws the ball one yard and his (very good) running-backs take it 90 yards. Same play every damn time... TO I also hate though because he was instrumental in beating the Giants during their infamous melt-down three years ago against the 49'ers in the playoffs. Largest lead ever blown by a team. I'm not sure what was worse - watching that game or watching the Yankees spoil a 3-0 series lead against the Sox last year....

I'm not sure what was worse - watching that game or watching the Yankees spoil a 3-0 series lead against the Sox last year.... LOL, I remember that playoff game. I remember Jeremy Shockey, being a jackass, jawing at some linebacker after scoring a touchdown. I also remember that special snapper that the giants brought in especially for field goal snaps screwed up not once, but twice on the last play!!! How hard is it to long snap a football?! As far as Rush's infamous comment on the media, I'd have to say I agree with most of what he says. There haven't been too many great black QB's in NFL history. It seems that most of them are usually pre-occupied with running with the ball rather than pass it. That may work in high school and college, but in the NFL it doesn't get you very far most times. Michael Vick is a good example. His blinding speed has made him a bigger threat on the ground than in the air. The Falcons had great success until they faced the Eagles in the playoffs. The Eagles D was able to keep Vick in the pocket and Vick proved to be a very ineffective passer. Watching the game you wouldn't think Vick could hit the broad side of a barn with the passes he was throwing. McNabb is a good QB, not great, but certainly not awful. Oh yeah, and McNabb doesn't choke all the time. Remember 4th and 25 against the Packers in the divisional playoffs in '04? I do More often than not it does seem that McNabb is unable to make the throw when it matters, but the Eagles success with him at QB shouldn't be overlooked. Before McNabb and Coach Andy Reid came to town the Eagles were the laughing stock of the NFC East. As you pointed out the Giants beat them on a regulat basis. In the last several years the Eagles rebuilt their defense to one of the best in the league while building a offense with talented RB's to set up the passing game for McNabb. The end result was 4 consecutive trips to the NFC conference championship game, winning 1. As far as the Yankees, I'd count my blessings if I were you. Try being a A's fan right now. 7-game losing streak and oh yeah, in the playoffs the A's have a 9 game losing streak in series clinching games. The Yankees lost 4 in a row, the A's have lost 9!! At their current rate this year they won't even make the playoffs again.
