Ouch indeed. Well it looks as though injuries to key personnal in a critical portion of the schedule may spell doom for the A's playoff hopes this year.
There is still hope though so I'll keep my fingers crossed that some bum yankee coach will pick more fights with opposing pitchers.

The A's are my sentimental favorite because I played ball with their GM in high school and several of the current players grew up here too.

You played with Beane, Steven? That's awesome. I think the guy does one of the best job in the league at getting production for every dollar spent.
Heck his trade earliar this year to bring in Jay Payton, Joe Kennedy, and Jay Witasick has been crucial to a lot of victories this year.

Heck his trade earliar this year to bring in Jay Payton, Joe Kennedy, and Jay Witasick has been crucial to a lot of victories this year. Same Little League, same high school. He's a couple of years younger than me and broke most of my team records. Only Chili Davis ever hit a longer ball off me than Billy did in a Varsity/JV scrimmage. Our high school coach was Hank Blalock's dad.
