Since the Astros finished off the Cardnals recently to go to the World Series, we now have a collective bunch of firsts to provide many fans with reasons to watch this series.
This is the first Series apperance in the history of the Astros. Jeff Bagwell and Craig Biggio (the killer B's) will be trying to help Houston to the first ever series after almost a decade of frustrated playing in the city. Roger Clemens will be pitching (maybe, kinda, sorta) for the last time, and last but not least is that this is not only the first WS in Astros history, this is the first in the history of Texas! A state that has such a following of sports and yet they've never had a single game played in the state. The antispation of the fans should be great.
For the White Sox the biggest thing is that this is their first series in 46 years (one year before the Astros came into existence). For the White Sox, this will be also about earning respect and recognition that they feel is given to the Cubs on a far too regular basis. Most teams don't get talked about much outside their city, the Sox have to settle for just hearing a little bit of recognition in the south side.
So in this series look for some great pitching to start, followed by some timely hits late in the game.
I'll go with the Astros in 5.

Well the White Sox are up 3-0 so that blows our predictions both out of the water. The Astros bullpen really wasted a great start by Petitte in game 2 and couldn't get it done with the bases loaded in the 9th in game 3.
They've had their oppurtunity, but it looks like this year will be the end of the "black sox" curse.

I still have hope the Astros will win four straight and take the series.

Well that's only happened once, although that was last year.
Unfortunatly the game is over and the White Sox gave us a second year of the WS sweep.
Jermaine Dye (who played for the A's last year... ugggg) got the WS MVP
