Someone needs to smack Steinbrennur (spelling? yea....no idea) right in the face.
When is he going to learn that pitching/defense always wins? Always, always, always, always.
I am getting really sick and tired of the Yankees and I might stop being a fan if they continue their self-imposed melt-down.

Don't the Yankees still have Kevin Brown, and Randy Johnson?

I thought you'd like this news James. Don't the Yankees still have Kevin Brown, and Randy Johnson? Let's see: 1) Kevin Brown can't pitch because he punches walls and breaks his hand. 2) Randy Johnson is 43 years old and his career is over. 3) Mussina isn't the pitcher he used to be and absolutely sucks now. The Yankees don't have ONE big game pitcher anymore. Who would pitch Game 1 if they reached the playoffs? Pavano? You've GOT to be kidding me.......... Yo Matt.....the Yankees might suck but I will never root for the Mets O and HOW BOUT THEM RANGERS?!?!

I guess Oaklands got ya beat with Zito, Harden, and even Blanton came on great last year. Plus we signed Esteban Loaiza(SP?) in the offseason. It's looking like a push year for the tittle. ;D
The Yankees picked up some no name from the Rockies last year that pitched well for them. Chacon I think his name was. Do they plan on keeping him?
I heard a rumor also that Roger Clemens (another 40 plus pitcher) was being courted by the Yanks.
I wouldn't worry too much James. The Yankees always compete. They'll find someone.

As to the Rangers, I believe you are one point out of first. When are we going to see a change in that avatar caption?

Hahaha......never bro. They will always be in first place in my eyes My brother (a die-hard Mets fan) is convinced that the Mets GM (can't remember his name now) is trying to make the team all Latinos. They're even trading with few white players they have to get more Latinos....as crazy as it sounds he might actually be right :/

But I don't think it's racially motivated. He made a huge mistake to trade Cameron to SD for Nady, and Nady's white. If the Mets win the world series, I don't care if their star player is Emelio Gonzalez-Sanchez-Rodrigo-Castro-Batista.
