I copied this from THC. It's from MacnPat/Sarahnn, who thinks shes a saved Christistian, although she doesn't believe the Bible.
Here's the question:
My first response is that if they don't believe the Bible, what do they think they need to be saved from?

If they don't believe in the Bible, why are they worried about going to Heaven??

If they don't believe in the Bible, why are they worried about going to Heaven?? That was the first thing that popped into my head. However, the leftists (read: anti-Christians) were telling her what a sage she was for bringing it up. I was starting to think it was a trick question and I wasn't in on the joke.

What pagan religion does she belong too? She claims to be Christian, but she doesn't believe Jesus died and rose again, she doesn't think her salvation depends on the blood of Christ, she doesn't believe the Bible if it's talking about the supernatural, and (naturally) she hates St. Paul. Maybe she's an Episcopalian.

She claims she a christian just in case, you know, to keep her bases covered so when she kicks the bucket she stand in front of St. Peter and say "But I SAID I was a christian!"

Don't forget that when Jesus rose from the dead on the third day, He showed His disciples his nail-scarred hands in order that they would believe it was Him. And also, doubting Thomas. He didn't scorn them, Jesus wanted them to know it was really Him. To answer my own question from 4 years ago, I think we believe through the witness of the Holy Spirit. And the Holy Spirit only comes with Salvation. And salvation comes through trusting God. I don't have all the answers. Being a Christian doesn't make me all-knowing. I will have questions till I die. But, I know where my hope lies, I put it there. Cool thread!!!
