Its' funny because I agree with most of what the movie says - that our universe is a wonderful place and that you should enjoy every second of your existence. Our universe is beautiful but its even more beautiful when you join the quest for knowledge and seek out life's inner-most secrets. Nothing is more intellectually unrewarding than the answer "Life is such because god willed it to be."
The part about your life having meaning cracked me up too. I know my life has meaning - that's precisely why I'm not religious. Because I reject the idea that I am worthless unless I care for others. That unless I live for others and give up my life for others, I am worthless. That is what is at the heart of nearly every religion in the world. What have you done for others? It doesn't matter who - just anyone but you. Talk about making someone feel like they are worthless....
Third, I fail to see how any part of that movie proved the existence of god or miracles. I must have missed that part in my version.

Hi Falcon,
Your post was interesting, however the video didn't talk about a quest for knowledge. I also enjoy the quest for knowledge, but it wasn't mentioned.
When the video talked about God it used the phrase "a miracle". Scientist and engineers may be very bright but they do not make miracles.
The video talks of creation. Creation came from God. Everything is His creations. That's why every creature has worth and beauty, because God created them.
You must get over this attitude that says "nothing is more unrewarding because God willed it to be." Without Him we wouldn't even be here.
Your life has meaning!! That's good. God speaks in a frame of mind that encompasses eternity. What happens to you at your death? Maybe you don't think about your death very often, but it will be there sooner than you would like it to be. You definately want God there.
The video never said anything about helping others. I think it is a fine thing to do, but it was never mentioned. The video could not have possibly made anyone feel worthless. It was possitive from the first second. Why would you feel worthless?
The video never argued for the existance of God. It spoke as if it was a given. Same with miracles.
I have hope for you. You're young and you have time to mull things over. I'll bat in your corner.
