Wow!
Seems like it should be leather bound and printed on vellum with a silk book marker!
That's a class gift. A great collectible, even if it's hard to read.

For one of my papers on Stuart England, I had to read 17th Century microfiche. Yea, definitely a challenge....
Still, like 101 said, old history nuts like us would definitely enjoy something like that. Very nice gift.

I guess the "deluxe" version IS printed on vellum and costs $2000! (The originals, the last time one was sold, went for a little over 2 million.)
This one is the standard edition and didn't cost anywhere near that much.
I also have a copy of Joseph Moxon's "Mechanick's Excercises" from 1678 reprinted as it was then as well, along with a (reproduction) copy of Pilgrim's Progress, also from 1678. If you're a book nut having a reproduction 1611 Bible is as close to heaven on earth as you're going to get.
