Here's the deal :
While I go to school I work part time as a customer service rep in a local supermarket. Since I started there last spring I've had to deal with an annoying and obnoxious man who has a power issue. (He's kind of like a supervisor and in charge during evenings.) At first I ignored it and wrote it off to another misguided mind in a city full of them.
But in the past few weeks, he's taken a more sinister turn. Making inappropriate sexual comments toward minor females in the store, (as well as those over 18) sneaking up behind and touching these girls in ways they get very upset about, and when they reject him outright declares them sluts, bitches, whores, etc. etc. to all he knows.
I've warned him several times that if he continues his actions there will be a price to pay. He takes no threats seriously. I spoke with a girl he was harassing and she told me she's scared to come to work now but is afraid of reporting him to our boss. So I reported him. I was shocked by my boss' reaction. He didn't seem to be bothered or shocked at all, and simply told me he'd talk to him. Talk to him?!?!
Given that my boss himself has been cheating on his wife with someone who works with us, I doubt there will be any action taken. He also has made sexual comments regarding his own employees. Once saying that age doesn't matter in sex as long as they don't remember anything. Only a month ago he promoted the sexual deviant. Since I care very little for this job anyway, I'm debating whether to demand in writing that action be taken or my resignation will be submitted in protest. I will also discuss further action against the harasser, boss, and company with those who have been effected by this guy.
What do y'all think?
