Boring.... and kind of lame.... oh, and long. Yeah, long. I just read the book and went and saw the movie. I didn't think much of the book. The author used repetitive lines like "he chuckled" too much I thought. It made me think the main characters we're a bunch of intellectual assbags only too happy to flaunt their genius. CRW would love them. I still thought the book was entertaining though, which is more than I can say for the movie. One of the things I liked about the book was Bishop Aringarosa. He was a character struggling to keep catholic christian doctrine against the tide of liberal change. I may have different views than he did, but he still came off as a good man and a good christian in the book. In the movie they made him somebody who still wanted to perpetuate a lie and kill anyone who got in his way. The other thing I didn't like about the movie was that it didn't build anything up. It simply lept from one end to the other and if I hadn't already read the book I would have found the plot confusing. Overall, a okay book was made into a bad film.

Yeah - the movie jumped from one scene to the next. Signing books. Investigating a body. Escaping by car. Escaping by armored car. Escaping by plane. Church. Another church. Conversing with the "Grail". The end. Uh what?
