In the mid 80's, while I was station in Germany AFN had on Australian mini-series called ANZACS. It is the story of Australian/New Zealanders soldiers who fought in Gallipoli and later on in France. The miniseries was not just about one soldier but group of soldiers and they suffering and loosing good friends. Hogan (croc man) played in. the mini series had many similarities with Band of Brothers. I taped it. Couple weeks ago I check with the Australian history society. Only problem is that if you want to buy it, you need multi-system TV and VCR/disk. I wish they showed this mini-series in the US.
